2011 model year changes

After an extensive round of equipment and feature upgrades last year, including more power, a newly available Bluetooth interface, and a mild design refresh, the Honda CR-V is carried over into 2011 mostly unchanged. The only major change is the introduction of a new special edition (SE) model that will slot between the LX and EX trims and include some but not all of the EX extras.

Special features for 2011

The CR-V offers car-like performance and crossover cargo and passenger flexibility. The 2011 Honda CR-V is one of the roomiest, most versatile vehicles in its class and qualifies as a good alternative to a minivan for growing families. Safety features are well-represented, and it stands as offering some of the best occupant protection in its class. The CR-V also doesn't let shoppers down as a minivan alternative, offering a configuration that's great for growing families, with plenty of thoughtful, cargo-friendly touches.
A leading sport utility vehicle choice in a very competitive category, the 2011 Honda CR-V comes in 4 superbly-equipped trim levels. Cruise control, power windows and locks, 8 drink holders and an audio system with MP3 playback capability is standard on the entire 2011 Honda CR-V range. New for 2011, a SE-trimmed Honda CR-V merges ahead of the base LX model offering an in-dash 6-disc CD changer, rear privacy glass and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. Power for the 2011 CR-V is gracefully provided from the 180 horsepower, 2.4 liter inline-4 powerplant featuring all-aluminum construction and Honda's intelligent-VTEC system. Handled through a 5-speed automatic transmission, engine momentum can flow into either front-wheel or four-wheel drive. Providing 21 miles per gallon in city fuel economy with both drivetrain configurations, highway gas consumption of 24 miles per gallon with the front-wheel drive model betters the 2011 Honda CR-V four-wheel drive by a single mile. Safety equipment including front, side as well as curtain airbags, anti-lock braking and electronic stability control is inclusive on all 2011 Honda CR-V models.
