The 2011 Ford Flex continues with minor changes for this year receiving new powertrain options for 2010. Available with a 3.5-liter 262 hp V6 in FWD or AWD or optional 3.5-liter 355 hp Twin-Turbo EcoBoost V6 with AWD, both are linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift controls and achieve up to 17/24 mpg city/hwy. The 7-passenger family hauler features optional leather seating, rear seat DVD entertainment, automatic park assist, Ford's Sync system, and a blind spot information system. The Flex can be equipped to tow up to 4500 lbs and is becoming a viable alternative to larger SUVs. With upgraded powertrains, ever present comfort and utility, the Ford Flex competes well in the crowded crossover utility segment.
