2011 model year changes

After a significant redesign in 2010, the Ford Expedition pushes into 2011 largely unchanged. The Eddie Bauer edition has been dropped. White Platinum exterior paint is new for 2011. A new Sport appearance package and air suspension and 20-inch wheels are now optional on the XLT. On the Limited and King Ranch, previously optional 20-inch wheels are now standard, as is an improved audio system.

Special features for 2011

The Expedition is Ford's largest full-size SUV. It stands out for its combination of smooth ride and quiet interior comfort, with full-size-truck hauling ability. The Expedition's 9,200-pound tow capacity is the best in its class.
Stretched out by a full foot in wheelbase and extended a total length of 14.8 inches, the main objective for the elongated 2011 Ford Expedition EL is to boost interior passenger and cargo room. Possessing the same 8-passenger accommodations as the shorter wheelbase Expedition, the third row occupants find considerably better hip and shoulder room. Cargo space is also far greater inside of the Expedition EL at a total 130.8 cubic feet. Available in the XL, XLT, Limited and King Ranch trim levels, 2011 Ford Expedition EL XL starts with air conditioning, power windows and locks, cruise control and a cargo management system as standard features. Upgrading to the 2011 Expedition EL King Ranch adds no charge Ford SYNC, perforated leather seating, power liftgate and rear view camera. Tracking with either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, a 5.4 liter V-8 engine sends every 2011 Expedition EL underway thanks to a six-speed automatic transmission.
