New 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche Cost of Ownership

As Chevrolet's versatile full-size sport utility truck, the 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche continues since its 2007 redesign with little changes. That’s alright, because the Avalanche excels in the segment it helped create with an innovative stowable rear window and fold down seats to increase the bed length to 8 feet. Available in LS, LT and loaded LTZ trim levels, the Avalanche can be paired with a 320-hp 5.3-liter Vortec V8 with active fuel management, flex fuel capability and up to 15/21 mpg city/hwy. Optional is a 366-hp 6.0-liter Vortec V8, both power plants are linked to a 6-speed automatic and can power two-wheel or four-wheel drive. Standard features are seating for 5-passengers, OnStar with turn-by-turn NAV, crash response and 5000-lb towing capacity. Notable options include leather, a backup camera, rear seat DVD entertainment, an integrated trailer brake controller and a Z71 off-road suspension package. With loads of capability, comfort and convenience, the 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche is in a class by itself.
