Special features for 2010

The Volvo XC90 occupies a spot in a competitive luxury SUV class that includes the Acura MDX, BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz M-Class. Amid the segment, the 2009 XC90 offers loads of standard comfort and safety features. Both 6-cylinder and V8 models are priced lower than most of the competition, and the 10-year/100,000-mile rust warranty is impressive. With plenty of durability, comfort and safety available in a Volvo XC90, the vehicle makes a strong case for itself.
One of the safest SUVs on the planet, the 2010 Volvo XC90 is loaded with electronic stability control, side curtain airbags, roll over control, ABS, and many other items as part of the standard safety features list. Now standard with a third row of seating, the XC90 can accommodate seven people. FWD or AWD are available, and the engine choices are between a 235 hp 3.2L six-cylinder or a 311 hp 4.4L V8. Both are hooked up to a six-speed automatic transmission.
