2010 model year changes

For 2010, the Volkswagen Jetta sees a slight interior and exterior styling upgrade, and two models--the GLI and the SEL wagon--are discontinued. There is a new Wolfsburg Edition, which is available only as a sedan with a turbocharged 200-hp 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. The Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition will be a late addition to the 2010 model year line up and includes features such as unique interior and exterior styling, sport seats and 18-inch wheels.

Special features for 2010

The 2010 Volkswagen Jetta comes well-equipped and value-priced for those who want a small but roomy sedan or wagon. The Jetta line is also a safety standout, as one of only a few compact sedans and wagons at any price to offer available side-thorax air bags for rear-seat occupants. With the available SportWagen body style, the Jetta is an efficient alternative to sport-utility vehicles, and the TDI diesel offers the efficiency of a hybrid with the torque people expect from a small diesel.
A five-passenger compact sedan, the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan is stylish and well appointed. The base engine choice is a 2.5L five-cylinder engine which produces 170 hp and can be paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic. A 200 hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder is available and is offered with a six-speed manual or a six-speed DSG automatic. The Jetta is also available with a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 140 hp/236 lb-ft of torque and is rated for 30 mpg in the city and a very impressive 41 mpg on the highway.
