2010 model year changes

Mercedes-Benz upgraded the GL-Class' diesel engine slightly for 2010. It's now known as the GL350 BlueTEC. This means the GL-Class' entry level model is now smoother and more powerful. The GLs also get a slightly refreshed exterior and interior.

Special features for 2010

The GL-Class comes in three trim levels: the GL350 with the BlueTEC V6 diesel engine which endows it with the most fuel-efficiency possible from an SUV this size. The GL450 comes with a 4.6L V8, and the GL550 with a 5.5L V8, giving it extraordinary pulling capability as well as 21" AMG alloy wheels and a huge Mercedes-Benz medallion on the grille. Each model has 4-wheel drive, a 7,500-lb towing capacity, a 7-speed transmission, and the PRE-SAFE system.
The 2010 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is a full-size luxury SUV with seating for up to seven passengers. The GL-Class has received subtle exterior styling updates this year. Three versions are available; the GL350 which utilizes a turbodiesel V6 to achieve over 20 mpg on the highway, a 335 hp GL450 with a 4.6L V8 under the hood, and a GL550 which utilizes a 382 hp 5.5L V8. All trims come standard with AWD and use the seven-speed automatic transmission.
