A compact, four-passenger convertible, the 2010 MINI Cooper Convertible features a fully automatic soft-top roof. This roof retracts in only 15 seconds and incorporates an innovative sunroof. The base trim is powered by a 1.6L four-cylinder engine that produces 118 hp and 114 lb-ft of torque. The S trim employs a turbocharged version of the 1.6L which generates 172 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque, and the performance John Cooper Works trim produces 208 hp and up to 207 lb-ft of torque from this same engine. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, and a six-speed automatic with manual shift control is optional.
