Special features for 2010

The 5-Series lineup of models are athletic and surefooted sedans and wagons that also offer a surprising level of comfort inside. Technology is also a strong point in the 5-Series, with performance and safety standouts like Active Steering, Active Roll Stabilization and a night vision system. The 535xi Sport Wagon is a very fashionable and fun-to-drive alternative to a sport-utility vehicle.
Available in four trims, the 2010 BMW 5-Series mid-size luxury car perfectly balances sports car performance with upscale amenities. The base 528i and 528xi are powered by a 230 hp 3.0L inline six-cylinder engine. The i trims are RWD while xi denotes AWD. The 535i and 535xi receive power from a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline six-cylinder motor producing 300 hp. The 535xi is also available in a wagon bodystyle. The final trim is the 550i, which is only available with RWD. The 4.8L V8 engine pushes out an exciting 360 hp. All trims come standard with a six-speed manual transmission, while a six-speed automatic is available.
