Standard features for the base trim include14-inch steel wheels, intermittent windshield wipers, air conditioning, adjustable front seats and a tilt steering wheel, while the S-trim-level features 15-inch steel wheels, a body kit and a CD/MP3 stereo with an auxiliary audio jack. The front-wheel-drive Toyota Yaris is equipped with a 1.5L four-cylinder engine that makes 106 hp and 103 lb-ft of torque, coupled to a standard five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic transmission. Toyota Yaris fuel economy, per EPA estimates, can achieve 29 mpg city/36 mpg hwy and 32 mpg in combined driving for the manual transmission trims, while the automatic transmission trims lose one mpg. Standard safety features include antilock brakes and side curtain airbags.
