A host of refinements is found throughout the Mitsubishi lineup for 2009 involving either styling enhancements or new equipment. Mitsubishi's mid-sized family sedan, the Galant, enters the 2009 model year as a more provocatively styled vehicle. Along with offering a four-cylinder and six-cylinder engine with a maximum 258-horsepower available through a Ralliart variant, a Galant Sport Value Package is also attached to the 2009 Mitsubishi Galant. A Ralliart edition of the Mitsubishi Lancer is added for 2009 as a more affordable alternative to the Evolution. The 2009 Lancer can also be outfitted with a 168-horsepower 2.4-liter engine for added perkiness. The Mitsubishi Eclipse gains a mild front and rear styling make-over for 2009 while the GT model is newly equipped with HID headlights as well as a dual exhaust system allowing 265 horsepower to erupt from the V-6 engine. The Mitsubishi Outlander and Raider remain largely unchanged for 2009. The mid-sized Endeavor crossover vehicle is not available for 2009 but will be revived for the 2010 model year.
