2009 model year changes

For 2009, the Buick LaCrosse changes little. The biggest change is that the sporty CSX trim level has been dropped, and with it goes the 3.6L V6. Bluetooth hands-free connectivity is now available and a tire inflation kit is standard. Scarlett Red and and Platinum Metallic have been dropped as exterior colors, while Quicksilver Metallic has been added to the palette.

Special features for 2009

The 2009 Buick LaCrosse ranks as one of the most comfortable mid-size sedans, with seating for up to six adults, a very quiet interior, and smooth, responsive engines. The Super model, with its V8 engine, brings a new sporty edge that should appeal to buyers who wouldn't have otherwise considered a Buick.

Although largely a carryover, the 2009 Buick LaCrosse midsize family sedan offers a variety of new refinements including heated outside rearview mirrors and Bluetooth connectivity. Powered by a base 3.8L V6 engine that produces 200 hp and 230 lb-ft of torque or a Super 5.3L V8 engine that pumps out 300 hp and 323 lb-ft of torque, the front-wheel drive Buick LaCross is equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission. Fuel-economy mileage ratings are 17 mpg city/28 mpg hwy and 21 mpg in combined driving, while the Super rates 16/24/19. Buick LaCrosse safety features include traction control, full-length side curtain airbags, OnStar communications and antilock disc brakes. A stability control system is standard on the Super trim and optional on the other two trims. Buick LaCrosse photos depict a roomy, well-equipped interior that can seat up to five or six passengers, and to transport larger items a split-folding rear seat is optional.
