The 2009 Audi A8 is the 4-door, 5-passenger luxury sedan for those unwilling to follow the same path as those who choose the BMW 7-series or the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The Audi A8 path is a confident one, thanks to the Quattro AWD system on the A8 as well as the 4.2L V8 that produces 350 hp. The 2009 Audi A8 is a carryover from the 2008 A8. New standard equipment for 2009 includes Audi's Advanced Key system, the Audi Parking System advanced with rear view camera, a power trunk opener, rear power sunshade and manual side rear door sunshades, and power door closers. In addition to being luxurious and sporty, the A8 has excellent safety features, such as dual-circuit ABS, Electronic Brake Pressure Distribution and an Electronic Stabilization Program. Two-stage full-size driver and front passenger, as well as front and knee side air bags, are standard, while rear side bags are an option. Active Head restraints are also standard and help reduce the risk of whiplash in a rear-end collision.
