For 2009, the Audi A3 receives some minor exterior and interior freshening including the addition of the lovely LED "eyelids" seen throughout the 2009 Audi lineup. This small sporty car comes in 3-door and 5-door varieties and is the perfect car to jump into the Audi brand, slotting itself below the Audi A4. Standard on the A3 are satellite radio, leather seats, and an auxiliary audio input. The 2.0T S-tronic trim now offers AWD. The 3.2L V6 now has Bluetooth, xenon headlights and an open-sky roof. Audi has also added its Magnetic-ride suspension as an option for the 2009 A3, which allows the driver the ability to select between "normal" and "sport" modes, with the latter option offering a stiffer level for greater performance. Switching between the two modes takes mere milliseconds, allowing the driver of the A3 to adjust their setup on the fly. Audi wants to be seen on the same level as BMW and Mercedes-Benz, and they are doing a great job of that, even in their "entry-level" A3. The fit and finish of the Audi A3 is superb and is now on par with the rest of the luxury car world.
