The Lincoln MKZ, which was new for 2007 and previously called the Zephyr, enters 2008 with increased standard features. Sirius satellite radio and perforated leather-trimmed seats--heated and cooled in front--are now standard. Later in the model year, the new Sync communications and entertainment interface, which provides hands-free, voice-activated access to cell phones and portable multimedia devices such as iPods was made standard. The available navigation system now includes voice activation as well. Four new clear coat exteriors--Dark Blue Ink Metallic, Moss Green Metallic, Vapor Silver Metallic, and White Suede--join the palette of colors.
Satisfying ride; interior comfort and luxury; seating and cargo space; audio and navigation systems.
The 2008 Lincoln MKZ is closely related mechanically to the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, but it offers more interior comfort, luxury, and available high-tech features, without sacrificing the fun-to-drive qualities. The interior stands out for being spacious for people and cargo compared to other sedans; it's claimed to have best-in-class interior space and trunk space. And compared with other cars in this price range, the Lincoln MKZ comes very well equipped; for example, heated-and-cooled climate-controlled seats are standard. The Lincoln MKZ's premium sound system has been top-rated by both CNET and PC Magazine, while the available touch-screen navigation has been ranked the highest in customer satisfaction by J.D. Power and Associates.
