An all-new version of the Jeep Liberty features a new look that includes squarer proportions that are greatly reflected with the new front end design. Boasting a healthy new standard features array adding side airbags, the refreshed 2008 Jeep Liberty is also offered with an optional MyGig infotainment center. The 2008 Liberty only propulsion source is the 3.7-liter PowerTech V-6 with Jeep deciding not to continue with the CRD (diesel-powered) version of the sport utility due to changing emission standards. The Grand Cherokee receives a slightly revised appearance as part of a mid-cycle restyling. High intensity discharge (HID) headlamps are now available on the 2008 Grand Cherokee. On the 2008 Jeep Patriot and Jeep Compass entry-level crossovers, list of standard features has grown as air conditioning and tire pressure monitoring warning lamp is included on all models.
