2008 model year changes

The Chevy Silverado, completely redesigned for 2007, enters 2008 with few changes. A six-way power seat adjuster is now available on 1LT models, a high idle switch is a new option, and XM satellite radio is standard across all trims. Two new reds (Dark Cherry Metallic and Deep Ruby Metallic) replace Sport Red Metallic. Dual-rear-wheel 3500HD models now ride on 17-inch wheels rather than 16-inchers.

Special features for 2008

The 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD have the segment-best gross combined weight rating of up to 18,500 pounds, and the segment-best trailer weight rating of 13,000 pounds--both important numbers considering their intended duty as heavy haulers and commercial rigs. And with extensive new noise-reduction measures, it has one of the quietest interiors among heavy-duty trucks.
Coming off of a redesign in 2007, the 2008 Chevrolet 3500HD continues its reign as one of the toughest trucks on American roads today. Available in a variety of configurations, including Regular, Extended and Crew Cab, with your choice of either two or four wheel drive, the 3500HD features different bed lengths as well (depending on your preference). In addition to plenty of cargo room in the bed, the 3500HD features a fold-down rear bench seat for additional hauling capabilities. The 3500HD comes equipped with a hefty gas-powered V8 for plenty of work in mind.
