It might surprise you, but the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu is a viable contender in the mid-size Sedan category, with its cool styling, refined interior and excellent handling. It’s offered in LS, 1LT, 2LT and LTZ trims, with a four door Hybrid also offered in the line-up. Engines range from a 169 horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder to a 252 horsepower 3.6-liter V6. The Hybrid version of the Malibu sports a 164 horsepower 2.4-liter gas/electric 4-cylinder mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. It offers seating capacity for up to for up to five people and a nice list of standard features.
