There's also a new Equinox LTZ that sits above the existing LS and LT models in the pecking order. Special features for 2008

The 2008 Chevrolet Equinox is one of only a few compact sport utility vehicles with a standard V6 engine, and it also stands out for its flexible and well-designed interior. It ranks as one of the more affordable compact SUVs in LS or LT trim, and with the new electronic trailer sway control, it's one of the better-equipped small SUVs for light-duty towing such as a small boat or pop-up trailer.
Available in LS, LT, LTZ and Sport trim levels, in either two or four wheel drive, the 2008 Chevrolet Equinox is a four door SUV featuring passenger capacity for up to five. Standard equipment includes front and side-head airbags, an anti-theft device, ABS brakes, auto on/off headlights, traction control, air conditioning, cruise control, front bucket seats, an adjustable steering wheel, AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio, a rear window defogger and a rear spoiler. The Equinox features a gas-powered V6 with horsepower ranging from the base 185 (3.4-liter) to 263 in the Sport (3.6-liter).
