2007 model year changes

Two new gasoline direct-injected engines are added to Volkswagen's Touareg lineup for 2007. Also, a power rear liftgate and keyless access with a start/stop button are newly available options, roof rails are now standard across the line, and xenon headlamps with the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) are now standard on the V10 TDI model.

The 2007 VW Touareg has a luxurious interior, smooth ride, and impressive off-road capability. The V10 TDI engine is a standout for its towing ability and efficiency, while the more powerful V6 and V8 engines for this year improve the performance of the other two models.
The 2007 Touareg gets a mid-model refresh for the four-door five-passenger SUV that is available with a 3.2Liter V6 that produces 280HP, or a 4.2Liter V8 that puts out 340HP, and now a V10TDI; a turbo-charged diesel that produces 310HP. All Touaregs have a six-speed electronically controlled transmission.
