The 2007 model year for Nissan contains a rapidly-growing model range consisting of several highlights. All-new versions of the Nissan Sentra, Quest and Altima are valued, long-standing models gaining enhanced styling and technology for 2007. A sleeker Nissan Sentra grows considerably in 2007 and employs a greater range of available premium equipment. The Quest minivan receives a massive refresh that includes improved cabin ergonomics. The 2007 Nissan Altima is shorter but wider than the previous model. Among the biggest additions to the Altima is an all-new hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain. The 2007 Altima Hybrid's fuel economy is rated at 42 miles per gallon in city driving. Both the new Altima and Sentra feature Nissan's fuel-efficient Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) in the place once-occupied by automatic transmissions. Returning to the subcompact car category in the United States since the enlargement of the Sentra in 2000, Nissan debuts the Versa as a hatchback and sedan. The Nissan 350Z is now offered with a new performance level in 2007. The NISMO 350Z feature the same engine as other 350Z models but include unique bodywork, braking and suspension designed to facilitate better sport handling.
