A refresh for 2007, the Element is a four-door four-passenger cross-over SUV offered in three trim levels – the LX, EX, and SC. The standard engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that produces 166 horsepower and comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission (with a five-speed automatic as optional on the LX and EX and standard on the SC model). The Honda Element gets freshened styling inside and out for 2007, along with ten more horsepower from the engine, and a new electronic throttle. The available automatic transmission now has five speeds rather than four. The Element also includes more safety equipment than before: vehicle stability assist (VSA) and anti-lock brakes with brake assist are now standard across the line, and base LX models now get standard keyless entry.
