2007 model year changes

For 2007, Ford added MP3 compatibility to Rangers with the single-disc CD sound system, and Sirius satellite radio is now available on all models but the base XL. Two new 16-inch wheel designs are available on several of the top trims, and three new colors--Pueblo Gold Clearcoat, Vista Blue Clearcoat Metallic, and Screaming Yellow--join the lineup. Also, the XLT 4x2 Appearance Package has been expanded to all body styles.

It also stands out as having the highest fuel economy of any pickup truck, with an EPA rating of up to 29 mpg on the highway for the base four-cylinder engine.
A carry-over from 2006, the 2007 Ranger is available in several different trim levels, including the base XL, STX, XLT, Sport, FX4 Off-Road in regular cab or four-door super cab. The base engine is the 2.3Liter inline four-cylinder that delivers 143HP, or you can choose the 3.0Liter or 4.0Liter V6 that produces 148HP or 207HP respectively. All models come standard with a five-speed manual transmission, or can be ordered with a four-speed automatic, and are available in both two and four-wheel-drive.
