2007 model year changes

Ford's flagship Five Hundred, which was introduced in 2005, changed very little for 2007. The SE trim has been dropped from the lineup, leaving the SEL as the base trim. This year, side-impact air bags and Ford's Safety Canopy system are now standard. Prices have been reduced by $1,200 on the SEL trim and $230 on the Limited trim.

Special features for 2007

Ford covers the mid-size segment for 2007 with two models: the smaller Fusion and the Five Hundred. The Five Hundred may appear large, but is actually very similar in size to the Toyota Avalon, the Buick Lucerne, and the Hyundai Azera. The Five Hundred bests the competition by offering the most trunk space at 21.2 cubic feet. It also offers the unique combination of a fold-flat front passenger seat with a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, which allows an impressive eight feet of linear storage space. The Five Hundred also achieves some of the best efficiency in the segment at 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.
The four-door five-passenger Five Hundred is a carry over from 2006, and now is offered with a simplified model selection. The SEL and Limited are now the only available trim levels, with the Limited having 18" wheels as standard equipment. Both models have the 3.0Liter V6 that produces 203HP and are available in either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive configuration.
