2007 model year changes

The 2007 Explorer Sport Trac has returned to the Ford lineup after a one year absence. Based on the new-for-2006 Explorer, the 2007 Explorer Sport Trac has a new chassis that is significantly stiffer. This results in a great improvement in both ride and handling. There is also a new independent rear suspension that not only smoothes out the ride, but also allows the 2007 Sport Trac to corner in a crisper fashion.

A great mix of cargo and people capacity; available V8 engine; strong reliability.

Special features for 2007

The 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac offers a great combination of a four-door people mover and an open pickup bed. This four-foot bed is made of composite materials and can handle 1,340 pounds of cargo. For further appeal, a powerful V8 engine and a more economical V6 motor are available. The Sport Trac offers considerable refinement over the Dodge Dakota Quad Cab and is more compact than a Honda Ridgeline.
Newly redesigned for 2007, and based on the Explorer, the Sport Trac is available in either two or four-wheel-drive configuration, and the option of either the 4.0Liter V6, or the 4.6Liter V8 that produce 210HP and 292HP respectively. The Sport Trac is a five-passenger SUT that offers the convenience of an SUV, with the utility of a pick up truck.
