A carry-over from 2006, the 2007 Escape is now available in XLT trim that offers silver fascia and trim, with the XLT Sport having a monochromatic appearance package. The XLS is the only model to come standard with a five-speed manual, while the XLT, XLT Sport and Limited round out the line up with a four-speed automatic transmission. The base engine is a 2.3Liter inline four-cylinder that produces 153HP, or the 3.0Liter V6 that puts out 200HP, and is standard equipment on the Limited model. All trim levels are available in either front-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive. There is also a Hybrid version of the Escape that features a 2.3Liter four-cylinder engine that produces 155HP and has an EPA rating of 36City/31Highway MPG.
