A few refinements make the 2007 Chevy Impala an improvement over last year's makeover, including the addition of GM's Active Fuel Management system to the 3.9L V6. This feature, previously only available on the 303-horsepower V8, idles cylinders at cruising speeds to conserve fuel. OnStar now comes standard on the Impala, and includes the new Turn by Turn navigation service.
Available Active Fuel Management system; roomy interior.
The Chevy Impala faces stiff competition in this class, including the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Ford Fusion. It holds its own, though, by offering a big, solid car that delivers smooth and safe performance starting at $20,945 for the base LS model.
