The first sport utility vehicle to promote the SS moniker, the 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS debuts with a 395-horsepower V-8 engine similar to the powerplant used in the Corvette. All-new performance-tailored SS models of the 2006 Chevrolet Impala and Monte Carlo powered by 303-horsepower, 5.3-liter V-8 engines are added to a complete redesign of both vehicles. Also receiving a SS variant for 2006 is the mid-sized Malibu models and the Cobalt compact car. Presented as a blend of utility and retro-themed commuting, the 2006 Chevrolet HHR debuts as small multi-purpose wagon. The majority of Chevrolet vehicles will wear a silver GM logo badge behind the front fenders described as a "Mark of Excellence".
