The trim levels for the Saturn Ion are easy to remember, entitled 1, 2 and 3 – available in either Sedan or four door Coupe configurations (Saturn calls this a ‘Quad Coupe’). The 2004 Saturn Ion features a 140 horsepower 4-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Introduced mid-year is the ION Red Line, a supercharged 205 horsepower 4-cylinder, 5-speed manual featuring a unique sport suspension system and 17-inch wheels. The ION comes equipped with front and passenger-side airbags, front bucket seats, traction control and ABS brakes.
