2004 MX-5 Miata

2004 RX-8

Two all-new vehicles and a highly-upgraded Mazda6 line-up detail an exciting 2004 line-up for Mazda. Perhaps the most buzz-worthy addition, Mazda debuts their latest generation vehicle to use rotary or Wankel engine technology called the RX-8. Powered by an advance Renesis powerplant, the 2004 Mazda RX-8 is a four-passenger vehicle configured as a four-door coupe with rear passenger entry doors that can swing open when the front doors are opened. Performance from the 2004 MX-5 Miata is enhanced with the appearance of a new Mazdaspeed version propelled by a 178-horsepower turbocharged engine. The Mazda3 replaces the Protege in 2004 as a sedan or hatchback. Optional equipment on the 2004 Mazda3 includes high intensity discharge headlights, tire-pressure monitoring system and a navigation system. Buyers of the Mazda6 can pick between a total of three body styles for 2004. Joining the already-offered sedan is a five-door hatchback and Sport Wagon. Styling for the 2004 Mazda MPV minivan has been revised to include clear lens headlights and a redesigned steering wheel. The only vehicle created from Mazda's aborted attempt to start a luxury brand, the Millenia premium sedan is discontinued for 2004.
