Several models in the 2004 Hyundai product line are the recipients of major enhancements. Hyundai's best-selling vehicle line in the United States, the Elantra, has been given a complete restyling and re-engineering for 2004. Offered as a sedan and a hatchback body style, the sophistication to the 2004 Hyundai Elantra includes a bolder, new grille design. A 2.0-liter Delta four-cylinder engine featuring CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) powers the entire 2004 Elantra line-up. An all-new powerplant has been added to the Santa Fe crossover vehicle for 2004. A 3.5-liter V-6 Sigma engine delivers 200 and 219 pound-feet of torque through a five-speed Shiftronic automatic transmission. Hyundai's luxury flagship XG350 receives a considerable upgrade for 2004. In addition to new exterior and interior styling, the 2004 Hyundai XG350 is equipped with larger disc brake rotors as well as a full-sized spare tire. Largely unchanged for the 2004 model year is the Sonata, Accent and Tiburon.
