Considered the king-size version of the Yukon SUV, the 2004 GMC Yukon XL is available in SLE and SLT trims, in either a quarter-ton or half-ton configuration. This year, the 1500 series gains Hydroboost brakes and a tire-pressure monitor, while 17-inch aluminum wheels are now available on the SLT models. The GMC Yukon XL is powered by a 295 horsepower 5.3-liter V8 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Yukon XL can seat up to nine passengers comfortably with a long list of standard equipment, including dual zone climate control and cruise control.
