As Ford’s best-selling line of Sedans and Wagons, the 2004 Ford Taurus sees some minor renovations to its exterior styling this year (particularly the front and the rear of the vehicle). The Ford Taurus Sedan is offered in LX, SE, SES and SEL trim levels while the Wagon is offered in SE and SEL trim. Both the Sedans and the Wagons feature a 3.0-liter V6 engine powered by an automatic transmission. The Taurus Sedan seats up to five or six passengers, depending on the configuration, while the Taurus Wagon seats up to eight with the optional rear-facing 3rd row seat.
