Entry-level car buyers have a new practical choice from Mazda in 2002. Employed with a wagon body style, the 2002 Mazda Protege5 accommodates up to 38.4 cubic feet of cargo and is powered by an economical four-cylinder engine. For 2002, the Mazda MPV minivan is powered by a new 3.0-liter V-6 engine that generates 200 horsepower channeled through a five-speed automatic transmission. Power sliding doors and 17-inc h alloy wheels have also been made available for the 2002 MPV. In its second year in the compact sport utility vehicle market, the Mazda Tribute receives an enhanced interior treatment with a different levers and front seating design. For the first time on the Mazda MX-5 Miata, is available with an in-dash, six-disc CD changer. No major changes have been made to the Millenia or 626 for 2002.
