2002 Viper

Dodge's popular half-ton Ram pickup truck is treated to a major makeover for 2002 in response to increased competition in the general duty work vehicle sector. The 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 employs new sheetmetal, a new series of powertrains and a Quad Cab with four forward-opening doors. Technical changes to the 2002 Dodge line-up include the use of a four-speed automatic transmission replacing the previous three-speed gearbox. With the 2002 Dodge Intrepid, the 3.2-liter V-6 engine has been discontinued as the mid-level engine. The final year of the Dodge Viper's first generation body style, 326 GTS and 34 ACR (American Club Racing) models are sold as Final Edition commemorative vehicles. On several products, the ‘Dodge' nameplates have been deleted for 2002.
