Subaru's entry into the 2000 model year is led by an all-new version of their flagship Legacy sedan and wagon. Growing in length compared to its 1999 predecessor, the Legacy product line champions all-wheel drive in premium style. The popular off-road performance trim Outback model returns with the 2000 Legacy line as a wagon and now as a sedan. For compact car buyers wanting the 165-horsepower 2.5 RS version in a four-door body style, the 2000 model year expands performance-rated Subaru Impreza trim to the sedan. Subaru's crossover wagon, the 2000 Forester, is no longer offered with a base trim resulting in only the better equipped L and S versions being sold for 2000.
