A mid-size sedan with seating for five, the 2000 Mazda 626 is a stylish and sporty alternative to the Camrys and Accords of the world. The base engine is a 2.0L four-cylinder which generates 130 hp and is rated at 26 mpg city/32 mpg highway. A more powerful V6 engine is available in the form of a 2.5L which produces 170 hp and still earns nearly 30 mpg on the highway. The 626 is available with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic.
