Lexus becomes the latest luxury car company to enter a rapidly emerging new premium vehicle segment in 1999. The Lexus RX 300 is a luxury crossover boasting a tall 7.5-inch ground clearance and available all-wheel drive for travelling comfortably through four seasons of motoring. A 3.0-liter V-6 engine, anti-lock disc brakes and front seat-mounted side airbags are standard on the 1999 Lexus RX 300. The Lexus ES 300's dynamics is improved in 1999 through a 210-horsepower V-6 engine, revised transmission and electronic traction control.
