Debuting this model year as Ford's newest attempt to have their professional grade pickup trucks stand out, the entry-level 1999 Ford Super Duty F-250 shows off unique styling compared to the Ford F-150 trucks. Presented with a shape displaying distinct headlamps, mirrors and grille, the 1999 Ford Super Duty F-250's is offered in Regular, Extended and Crew Cab body styles with XL, XLT or Lariat trim levels available. Standard features packages on the 1999 Super Duty F-250 XL is light allowing expansion with a wide range of options including limited slip differential, front drive-side airbag and air conditioning. With two-wheel and four-wheel drive choices, standard power of Ford's 5.4 liter Modular V-8 engine provides 255 horsepower as well as 350 pounds-feet of torque. For optional 310 horsepower and 425 pounds-feet of torque, a 6.8 liter V-10 engine also available as well a 7.3 liter turbodiesel powerplant. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard equipment but a 4-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmission is also available on the 1999 Super Duty F-250.
