Summary:
The fuel tank strap can separate due to fatigue during vehicle operation. If this occurs, the tank will be unsupported, increasing the risk of a fuel leak.
Remedy:
Dealers will replace the double toggle lock fuel tank straps with a single toggle lock design. Owner notification began February 7, 2000. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-992-1997.
