The 1999 Dodge Dakota is a pickup truck that straddles the line between a compact and a full-size vehicle. The Dakota is available with a regular cab or a club cab, as well as the choice between RWD and 4WD. The base engine is a 2.5L four-cylinder which produces 120 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. A larger 3.9L V6 is available which generates 175 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a five-speed manual while a four-speed automatic is optional.
