The 1998 Dodge line-up features massive revisions to a pair of popular models. For 1998, the Dodge Intrepid is completely retooled sporting a smoother, more mature exterior appearance powered by new all-aluminum engines. The 1998 Dodge Ram full-sized pickup adds the flexibility of a Quad Cab version operating as a four-door pickup. With the Ram Van, the 1998 model year adds several mechanical and safety improvements. A revised 5.9-liter Magnum V-8 and Cummins diesel engine feature improved power for the Dodge Ram in 1998. For 1998, Dodge infuses some extra character to a pair of vehicles through performance personality. The Dodge Neon R/T features a white double striping along the hood and truck and white-painted alloy wheels. Part of the Dodge Dakota line-up for 1998 is the R/T package as a sport truck offered only with rear-wheel drive. A 250-horsepower 5.9-liter V-8 engine and a lowered suspension setup are included with the 1998 Dakota R/T. Minor changes have been made to the Avenger, Stratus and Viper for 1998.
