Audi's European style and engineering have translated well into decades of sedans. Since the 1990s, there have been three mainstay Audi sedans represented with available quattro all-wheel drive and TDI diesel powerplants. Long existing as the entry-level sedan for Audi in North America was the A4. This changed for the 2015 model year when the A3 was marketed as a four-door sedan in the United States. The mid-level A6 sedan balances itself as relatable to everyday driving for affluent customers with the power to please performance sport sedan buffs. Satisfying the high-end buyers looking for a large executive sedan, the Audi A8 serves as the flagship for the German luxury brand. Offered with a long wheelbase option, the Audi A8 is the only sedan available from the brand with a twelve-cylinder engine. Sportier versions of the sedans is offered as the S3, S4, S6 and S8.
