A company born by boat designer and racer Ted Irwin, Irwin Yachts first vessel was created in 1967. Consisting of a product assortment starting with a 34-foot yacht and ranging in size up to 68 feet in length, Irwin Yachts watercraft were realized for racing as well as cruising. At the time of Irwin Yachts closure in 1991, more than 6,000 sailing vessels were built from the Clearwater, Florida company. American Cruising Yachts Company continued producing Irwin Yachts sailboats for only an extra year.
