Intrepid Boats Works started in 1983 constructing a 30-foot center console cuddy vessel. Expanding their model line-up to include other hull sizes, Intrepid Boat Works also explored inboard marine power plants. The watercraft sold within Intrepid Boats Works was briefly sold under the name Super Hawaii between 1991 and 1993. After 1993, the marine company adopted the name Intrepid Powerboats.
