David Stanton founded American Sail Incorporated in 1976 after several years serving as president of American Fiberglass Company. Stanton bought the rights to the Aqua Cat sailing vessel and soon added several other sailboat products to the American Sail line-up. Designed for beginner as well as experienced day sailors, American Sail vessels are built with hand-laid fiberglass construction for weight and durability.
