A name renowned in the Massachusetts area since the mid 1800s as a shipyard, Crosby Yacht Yard entered the recreational boat market in 1972. Crosby Yacht Yard has built both sailboats and powerboats including the Crosby Striper. After 1985, Crosby Yacht Yard focuses solely on custom orders for commercial and pleasure boat markets. During World War Two, the United States Army Corp of Engineers used the Crosby Yacht Yard facility for training exercises that included preparation for the Battle of Normandy.
