Between 1973 and 1984, Contessa fiberglass sailboats were constructed in the shipyards of Jeremy Rogers. A British design, the fiberglass Contessa 32 sailboat became a staple for inshore and offshore racing. Though the 32-foot yacht was popular, Contessa also produced a 35 and 43-foot long version. While Rogers was unable to continue building the Contessa line of sailboats in mass production after 1984, other boat builders also possessed molds to the 32-foot version for the company’s vessels.
