Founded in the 1970s, Hudson was attached to the construction of large fiberglass boats. Until 1982, Hudson sold both a powerboat trawler along with a variety of sailboats. Two of Hudson ketch sailboats were designed by William Garden and were available in a 44 as well as 51-foot lengths. Hudson sailing yachts were constructed in Taiwan.
