The Aristo Craft name was first used by Atlanta Boat Works shortly after the second world war in 1946. A stylish runabout, the Aristo Craft boats originally utilized wood construction. Aristo Craft and the Atlanta Boat Company began to shift towards fiberglass hulls by the end of the 1950s. Company founder Claude Turner retired in 1980 winding down operations of Aristo Craft/Atlanta Boat Works.
